  April's Fool
I think this blog should be renamed the David Grieve Appreciation Society!

Anyway, another poem, too good to miss.

*April’s Fool*

In humility,
April’s Fool expresses his kingship
in other-worldly /condescension/,
mounted on a foal
broken in by love,
making a jackass of
the pride and power of rulers.

Mounted on the Cross,
The Fool on the Hill
will reign in glory,
outwitting Satan.

Hosannas will ring out
through endless ages
and rocks and stones
will shout and sing
